Our Safety and Quality department is closely monitoring that all tasks on board and in the office are conducted in strict compliance with the requirements of ISM Code, ISPS Code, Maritime Labour Convention and Flag requirement. To verify proper implementation and compliance we undertake the planning and conducting of all required audits.

ISM means International Management Code for the safe operation of ships and for pollution prevention is a management systems model designed to encourage safety and pollution prevention.

MLC means Maritime Labour Convention establishes minimum working and living standards for all seafarers working on ships flying the flags of ratifying countries.

ISPS (International Ship and Port Facility Security Code) is a security measure put into place in response to the 9/11 attacks by the IMO (International Maritime Organization) as part of the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) Convention ISPS assigns responsibilities to governments, shipping companies, shipping personnel, and port/facility personnel to detect security threats and take preventative measures against those threats affecting ships or ports used in international trade.
